Jennifer Loiselle (Photos from her etsy store)

It seems that only when I’m literally walking out the door I’m able to catch the postman before he scribbles a We Missed You card and vanishes… he really can’t miss me enough to wait 30 damn seconds for the power-sprint from door phone to the door. If this was a relationship I’d be researching numbers for a freelance assassin, I tell you. The package was such a pleasant surprise though, containing two of Jennifer Loiselle‘s perspex necklace/headband designs that I’d seen in Susie’s post not a year ago. The designs are right up my alley – bold necklace that doesn’t require any intuitive jewellery layering skills (that I haz not), and can be worn on head or neck. Apart from the fact that the spikey number is a bit lethal and I’m a little afraid to mount it on my head, they’re a perfect addition to the family (Cow says hi). Thank you Jennifer!

On a separate note, I’m pretty sure in a few more weeks of this slush snow London will be looking to purchase a giant bottle of Head & Shoulders for dandruff control. Oh yes, I remember, last year they had to buy emergency salt from Spain because of said ‘snow’. Krakow has knee-high snow, I hear, and life goes on. LEARN, LONDON.

Thank you Kit for the photos!

Ah Jennifer, she was the one who created the two ball head bands..I nearly bought one but my head is tooooo small to fit any of hers/others.

(And I thought I was the only one who lacked layering skills! So very relieved.)

  9. Those jewels are right up my alley, too! You look great.

I was all for criticising the British response to the snow – yesterday my driving test was cancelled due to about 1cm of the stuff. The driving test I’d been waiting 6 weeks for! But today it’s coming down thick and fast here in Manchester.

  10. Great shots Kit! & great look, esp. love the Zara sheer tunic. Does that Quicksilver jacket zip off at the waist? I saw that at Burberry. Really love this look and the necklace (I think I saw her Jennifer’s etsy shop – not as wild for the headband thing).

I actually stayed inside yesterday hibernating and missed the whole thing. Yeah we were saying if this was NY we’d think it was great weather. xox

  16. They do that here too! Just through in a card without even bothering to knock on the door (and we even installed a bell, but do they care?!?!) Makes me MAD! I wonder what kind of material Loiselle are using for these very decorative, huuuuuge earrings, which look great to avoid making them weigh a ton. Trust the snow has arrived in London by now…

  19. Great commentary on the postman, I have similar problems. The necklace sits beautifully and I am impressed with the construction on that Quicksilver jacket.

  20. I love the top photograph – very intriguing! The boots you are wearing are stunning, and of course, the jewelry is as well. I create jewelry also, from vintage pieces and found objects, and my pieces are totally different, look at Navare on Etsy.com. But I am always, always fascinated with all of the unique jewelry styles to be found. Thanks for sharing!

  24. Haha same here, the least amount of snow and Belgium falls to pieces. NOT FUN when you have to wait 72 minutes on your bus, my fingers are still purple. Matches with my trousers though.

  25. yeah Krakow is alive, especially warm shopping centers were there is a homeless person on an every bench, and it stinks, which ruins christmas spirit a little bit
