Bows Boudoir
18th September 2012

Meadham Kirchhoff SS13 Are you perhaps missing out on my chronic instagramania Meadham Kirchhoff SS13 at LFW Day 5, ticket courtesy of Luisa via Roma; frontal catwalk shots by vogue.com It’s clear with each collection that the Meadham Kirchhoff duo knows exactly how to bring eyecandy to the catwalk, but this season they left us all on a sugar-high on day 6 of LFW; heck, I felt like a kid on juice watching this show. I mean, would you just look at the details – flowers stuffed under the peplum, stamped-wafer fabric, ribbons atop ribbons, bead-crusted nails… it’s like they stood a cherubim-haired doll on a rotating stool and constructed each look. Another MK specialty, the walk & performance – the music was a sweet tinkling melody of a merry-go-round, which suited the round Topshop catwalk space rather perfectly, but instead of doing a circle, the girls weaved in and out of [...]

Fast Resort
28th September 2011

Mark Fast SS12 LFW Courtesy of Vitamin Water Right now I’m 1) medium-rare-ing on a white beach in Greece, 2) breaking world-record breathing under water looking for my suspiciously heavy bikini top, or 3) dancing around the laptop with a berry-painted face and straw dress hoping for magical wi-fi. This is indeed a scheduled post, written high above the clouds headed for a much-needed holiday. Thought it’d be rather appropriate to share Mark Fast’s beachtastic SS12. Giles brought couture, Topshop Unique brought urban/street, Fast brings resort – LFW has it all. Except blogger appreciation. Thank you Glacéau Vitamin Water and Exposure PR for arranging the front-row ticket! Glacéau vitaminwater is the official soft drink supplier to London Fashion Week – keeping fashionistas hydrated all week long. Visit their Facebook page;

Giles Patronus
23rd September 2011

From the front row at Giles, London Fashion Week SS12, Courtesy of Vitamin Water How did these doughnuts magically get into my bag? is probably the only use of ‘magical’ I’d use in a LFW context, we seem to be more content with nouns like edgy, unorthodox, and sometimes even what-the-wow in London, but you must agree Paris couture unofficially owns ‘magical’. Giles sent out a fringed silver mask invitation in an A3 envelope, which made the official mirror of the day and gave the Somerset House restrooms a breather, but what a tease! I’d expected something along the lines of a Venetian carnival, but the first white swan headpiece floated out on a space-age soundtrack and we all did a Mexican wave of gasps. Swiss laser cutting, featherworks, metallic fringing, and of course the Royal Courts of Justice venue… Je voudrais borrow ‘magical’ s’il vous plait! Thank you Glacéau Vitamin Water and Exposure PR for arranging [...]

A Unique View
21st September 2011

Topshop Unique show, London Fashion Week at the Old Waterloo Terminal 18/09/11 The other day, Craig mentioned that it’d be amazing to be invisible as a streetstyle photographer, of course at which point I looked around because I could swear there’s no one there… He’s pretty good at it though, well, except when he wears the brightest yellow rain poncho – that’s how he gets shots of models running, away from him le obviously. I digress. These shots at Topshop Unique may seem that I either was 1) squatting straight bang in the centre of the catwalk, or 2) was invisible. Fact is, Topshop came up with the most unique seating arrangement for bloggers – 3 rows of seats flanking the narrow entrance of the catwalk – we were basically on the catwalk. (Check here) It’s genius though, and so generous, because so far I’ve been seeing nothing but backwardsness [...]

PPQ Limbo
2nd April 2011

Not to worry, this is the last of the lot. You must be sick of colourful foreign logos popping up in the right corner – I’m only hoping you will put up with these occasional sponsor flurries with more pardon over fixed advertisements. And who am I trying to kid, these bills ain’t going to pay themselves. (Although, no bill-paying currency was yielded from this specific sponsorship) Glacéau Vitamin Water and Exposure PR were awesome to arrange a front-row seat for the PPQ show, so thank you. I won’t hold a grudge against the PPQ PR who couldn’t find me a seat though, because although I had to wedge at the end of the catwalk I found out it was one of the best locations for shooting…. despite playing ‘how low can you go‘ with the BFC camera above my head… Glacéau vitaminwater is the official soft drink supplier to London Fashion [...]
