Photos taken during LFW AW’10 Ashish show, Hair strips from shop in Seven Sisters I remember coming out of the Ashish show in February wondering how the hair was done like that, and 6 months later on Monday I ran into the answer in Seven Sisters. Now, Seven Sisters is not a boutique or an edgy hair salon, it’s a neighbourhood in zone 3 of London, an area I swear never to set foot in again. Never have I been insulted like that in the space of 10 minutes – threatened to call the police, and literally shoved away from a storefront. What did I do? All photos from Ana Locking online press room Jaw-dropping doesn’t even start to describe Ana Locking’s AW10 collection. This paint bomb landed in my inbox and it was one of those situations where instead cleaning it up, you start messing with the colours and eventually end up smearing it all over yourself. It’s just so hard to get paint off of you though, isn’t it? The collection made such a strong impression on me that now I’m determined to embrace a more exotic Winter look this year. (Not in the sense of here comes the sun, global warming, obviously) I don’t know if this also makes you groan in agony, but the wedges are apparantly coming to store soon. FACEHUNTER by Yvan Rodric; Published by Thames & Hudson 2010; Booksigning 12th March 2010 Yvan was indeed tied to a stack of his book (well, metaphorically) as the queue for the book signing extended around the bookshelves and into the Economics & Finance area of Foyles, which I must say was starting to look a little out of place.
