Coming of age
10th December 2012

Boucheron Quatre, an eternal classic Black coat – CK. Ice-blue coat – Brics x Anywho. Leather halter-top by Topshop (found in Vintage store). Skirt – YesStyle. Shoes – Primark (over a year ago). Rings - Boucheron Quatre. Belt – LV via Vestiaire Collective. Maybe it’s that time of my life, a particularly melodramatic chapter with lots of ellipses between sentences and one too many rhetorical questions, but lately I’ve been sensing a definite shift in taste. Taste in clothes, food, books what have you, although I wouldn’t necessarily label this the point where I grow up, seeing how I’ve once again spent an entire weekend playing Sims 3 and setting fire to my own house. One day I looked at my wardrobe and couldn’t help but frown at the abundance of flamboyant, low-quality pieces, including lots of the DIY projects that were done on a whim – ‘masterpieces’ that weren’t even [...]

What’s in my bag
8th December 2012

(Rollover to activate numbers ↓) Daytime tote’n: 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel via Monnier Freres Front/rear lights for my bicycle that I never realized I had – I swear this bag belonged to Mary Poppins Cutler & Gross sunnies, window reflection sadly does not come with. LC-A+ camera because I’m too cool for school, or too poor for the Canon EOS M. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel in pine green, AKA our Christmas tree this year. Urbanears in ‘do-not-disturb’ tomato-red, and best noise cancelling headphones. Spare battery and memory card for the beast that bears the name of Canon + business cards for this enterprise. Samsung Galaxy SIII - another one of my horcruxes. House keys and oyster card, if I’m clumsy enough to lose this I should be put into jail. Fashionary planner 2013 (also featured in first image) and assortment of pens + portable watercolour kit Wallet from Chloé, red for ‘warning’ or ‘danger’, or [...]

Official Initials
24th May 2012

Milan, Day II with Bottega Veneta Betty & Matthieu, cutest couple in the world Travel Buddy Carrie All motorheads head to Brian’s Black Perfecto Thank goodness for web-based interactive mock-up application for duckie-brains like mine. DIY Shredded Jeans Dotted Dress, mummy’s old. Tropical Blazer, Maarten van der Horst for Topshop. Bag, Bottega Veneta Initials. Nude heels, Zara. Watch, Sekonda. Gold Bracelet, Jessica Barensfeld Hammered Initials Bangle via Vestiare Collective It’s fascinating, this human obsession to scribble names into things we own… come to think of it, it’s not actually even about marking things we own, because how many toilet cubicles would you own then? I’d own about three tree barks (along with ♥ three clueless crushes of the era – unfulfilled, naturally) and desks in all the schools growing up. No, it’s really like an inside joke, isn’t it, and a guessing-game for the woman sitting across you in the bus – just like the fact [...]

Barbara Boner White Fringe bag
I’ll have me a Boner
26th April 2012

Barbara Boner Barbara Boner Fringed leather bags & accessories at Pfeffer PR Pressday Welcome, new visitors! You who searched for a certain naughty term and Google and some SEO magic told you this might be the place you were looking for. Oh don’t leave so hastily, do look around, you’ll spot a patch of skin or two if not a sat-wrong pants-bulge that might answer your search needs. If that’s not a riveting name I don’t know what is, (except maybe Ben Dover) I swore to myself not to bring up the name issue but as it turns out that she’s 1) Italian hence the name is probably pronounced ‘bonnnner’ or ‘pineapple’ (Italian is a mystery language for me) 2) obviously gone over this many times before she decided to settle on the name and therefore clearly is embracing it. It got you reading, didn’t it? That’s all that matters – I too [...]
