ASOS SS12
8th February 2012

Favourites from ASOS SS12 ASOS SS12 Pressday; November 2011 One of my readers pointed out a few days ago that my photos just seem ALTOGETHER PASTEL these days. In my defence, I really think I’m going through a hardcore pastel phase here, please help. (A)S.O.S! (har har get it… ASOS…SOS) (I am SO lame). I also seem to be growing a milk tooth and have My Little Pony nightmares occasionally. (I brush and brush their tail hair but it keeps giving me static shocks and I eventually turn into a lightening bolt to live a rather exciting life solely dedicated to causing headaches to poor Harry Potter) Husband, I want our entire flat to be painted dusty pink! As always I’ve had to put a cork on this post ever since the press day back in November, but it only really makes sense as most of these will be tricking into ASOS [...]

Philip Lim
Pastel Gale
3rd January 2012

Philip Lim LIngerie & SS11 Wang’s Pastels (down) Aaand Marant strikes again Favourites at KCD Pressday SS12 I may report trend like BBC weather forecast the next 24 hours (a slot machine of weather icons running on 50p coins, more like) but it sure looks like a pastels trend gale is brewing in the horizon. Not that I should mind much, everytime I spill my face-mattifying loose powder on my lap I become a pastel monster anyway, might as well be trendy this time round. I will get those Marant sneakers though, so hide yo kids, hide yo wives, and hide your husband.

Hot Coco
4th June 2011

Chanel AW11; Peridot varnish Sorry, thought a bit of heavy coats and tutti frutti woolen socks ‘n’ boots would do a good trick of reverse psychology-ing this heatwave. Ech. My brain is sweating. De facto I’m a bit of a tell tale and I can never hold things in (i.e AW/FW what have you) and usually end up blurting stuff out before it’s the correct time… but I won’t read the lyrics of fashblogger anthem and add the ‘now I feel like Autumn and layering‘ line, we just felt the oven dials turn into a beautiful toasty weather in London and I don’t at all dislike it. Thank you Julie always for the warm welcome!

ASOS SS11
31st January 2011

ASOS SS11 Pressday November 4th 2011 @ Victoria House Seeing that I’ll be cameraless for a few days I thought I’d give the backlog a good shovelling session… turns out I’m also backlogless with my hard drive over at a slumber party somewhere else… oy vey. Thankfully found this ASOS SS11 pressday post has been lingering in the drafts cabinet since November of last year. I’d like to say it was warming up the bench but as always the truth is that Susie of ASOS had put out a shush note until an appropriate time closer to release and judging by what they’re bringing to the table it looks more like a secret card than a benchwarmer. Particularly fond of the perspex heels, pop-colour bags and the ASOS Africa collection (second to last row) – I know this will be my catchphrase come fashionweek, but Summer where art thou? Take [...]

Urban Essays
11th December 2010

Urban Outfitters Pressday SS11 I wish I can do short and sweet when it comes to pressdays, but that’s just my personality I think, can’t keep things concise. I once left a fridge post-it note for my brother that went on about 4 notes just saying that the food is in the fridge. Well, I had to include introduction, literary review, argument and conclusion, no? At least that’s what they taught me in school, I guess you wouldn’t know because you didn’t stay in school or something… HRMPH FINE good for you and your short note writing skillz. So I guess my point is… I’m growing tickling fondness for the vinyl trend in footwear (refer to annex); blisters-in-the-making is apparently the new Behind the Scenes in SS11. I find that Urban Outfitters has an exceptionally good taste in their boutique section; they’re taking in different brands that somehow speak a similar [...]
