Adieu 2012!
31st December 2012

Installed shoe-wall out of IKEA laundry-room shelves after finding a hobbit living in the mountain of shoes Navigating in Florence with hubby at Firenze4Ever, mostly following trail of mozzarella balls Getting used to, and loving, hotel breakfasts Chanel AW12 in Paris, still have a crush on that canary-yellow boy bag Fantasy-come-true freak stroke of luck – my first Mary Katrantzou show wherein I cried rainbows all-throughout Slashed hair, courtesy of JHair Berlin with Zalando, rediscovering a gem in the heart of Europe Favourite ASOS collection of all time – vintage-inspired ASOS Salon Learnt & witnessed genuine craftsmanship at Hermès Atelier Sacs Where dreams came true Eurodisney with Jen, grinning like 9-year olds the whole time. More magic at Chateaux de Fontainbleu Post-marriage initials sealed on bag Milan with Bottega Veneta Discovering Paco Rabanne (a millennium late) and their come-back collection Wading through the fields (and possibly [...]

You’ve got mail
24th December 2012

Shouldn’t you also be downstairs with the rest of the motley crew eating everything that’ll re-appear on your New Year’s ‘banned foods’ list? Go, be merry! Kiss a distant cousin, tell your 6-month old niece that there’s no Santa! This is my first year to be away from family, but I’m spending it quietly with my husband and making new memories. We got ourselves preggers on a very traditional Polish meal (12-dishes, veggie-Bigos [no meat/alcohol on the eve!], pickled herring, a cup of steaming beetroot soup), read a bit of the bible and laughed like merry dwarves over apple pie dessert. If you’re curious about the Christmas message, this verse from the book of John is a good Cliff’s notes-y summary without going into too much detail. Happy Christmas my lovelies!

A word that starts with F
7th November 2012

If you’re in Paris make sure to visit the Chloe.Attitudes exhibition, curated by Judith Clark, at Palais de Tokyo before it closes on the 18th of November! It’s no secret that I have a huge crush on Chloé, (hey, way to spice things up for the few non-fashiony folks – come back after midnight and I’ll share all the juicy girl-on-girl details) so I was massively chuffed to find out that I was one of the 26 bloggers picked for Chloé Alphabet, the digital arm of the 60-year anniversary celebration. Sixty years! That alone is worth applauding – I should know, I’ve been me for 25 years. If you’re anything like me and must sing the alphabet-song to find out what comes after F, then you too will find this amusing – every Chloé collection is named in alphabetical order, with every piece in it given a name beginning with the hero letter. (So [...]

Scarf Print
11th May 2012

H&M Magazine: Summer 2012 Shoes, Patrizia Pepe. Trousers, DIY Thank you hubby for helping with the shots Next time you’re out shopping for a pair of scarf-print trousers, you know, with dodgy stitching and a waistband scrimped out of an old pair of jeggings, I recommend you pop into H&M and pick up a copy of the summer issue magazine. Then come home, dig out an big old scarf, and give your sewing machine (or mum) a good rattle. I personally was like this through the entire procedure but I promise it was a lot of fun. Best bit? Use the leftover fabric to do Erica’s (of the emporium that is Honestly…WTF) satchel DIY that’s on the other side of the spread. I’ll pop the full DIY up live next week, so go dig up a big scarf in the meantime!

Sheer hope
27th October 2011

Socks – Tabio, Bag – Furla Candybag, Nailpolish – Chanel Peridot I’m having a thing for sheer socks right now and so far haven’t seen anyone do it better than Tabio… Je m’excuse for short burst posts of late, I arrived in Milan late last night with high hopes of editing gazillian photos in the hotel lounge but of course I arrive potato-faced with two pieces of dry plastic in my eyes and the bed looks like it gives good hugs… I’m off to a press conference now with Milla Jovovich (x Campari), maybe I’ll grow some balls and ask her how it feels to gut zombies! …which will get me kicked out of the room but I’ll be known in Italy as ah si that zombie blogger and that’s always a good title. Have a luuvely Thursday, ciao!
