I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Trench – Kappahl, Blouse – Silence & Noise, Both trousers – Zara, Bracelet – COS, Bracelet 2 – Floral fabric from Liberty’s, Bag – Gmarket, Shoes – Fred Perry; Thank you Macku for the photos <3

Always wanted to try this double-waist thing since I saw it somewhere during one of the fashion weeks (wow, can one get any more vague?). Trouble was finding a pair of trousers tight enough that could fit under a loose pair, and both with a belt-line. These two half met the criteria, so the whole day I felt like I was wearing an oversized diaper…

I’m planning a redesign for the blog, would anyone mind? (Accessibility issues and such…)

looks great! you could also cut the beige pants an sew them toghter with the black one… so you wouldn’t feel like wearing a diaper ;)

  3. Super chic!

  4. The look is amusing, quirky but certainly not worth feeling like you are wearing diapers! It’s one of those ideas that look good in a photograph but are rather over-the-top and not practical in real life.

    Thanks for sharing!

  5. Oooooh fascinating look. I imagine that work very well for winter on the east coast where I am.

I trust your design judgement so I don’t think I’ll be bothered by a redesign at all. In fact now I’m kind of excited to see what will happen.

  6. I would not mind but only if you redesign mine as well. Ok, ok only kidding…unless you really want to? hahah :) Amazing style and great photos as always!

  7. Really cool! I think it is a really refreshing way to wear shorts/pants or even skirts. Why the hell not?

  14. your hair looks lovely and adore the double pants –

  15. LOL to the oversized diaper.

your hair seems curlier than normal in these pics? love that kinda-action-shot of you. so caught in the moment!

  16. Loved the double layer look, hope it’s not too tight round the ankles.

  17. It’s not a look for me. You look great though :)

  18. I never would’ve thought about that before– it’s definitely new and interesting (and I don’t say that in a hesitatingly bad way, I say that in a hesitatingly curious way). A revamp of the site? Change?? Noooooo–oh just kidding. I really like what you have now (very clean), but I’d like to see what you have in mind!

  19. Yeah, I remember seeing someone else do that a while ago! I can’t remember where I saw it… It looks great on you though. I hope it’s not too uncomfortable! I like the two different colours and types of material. I agree with h – you could easily DIY them so that an old pair with a nice waistband is under a new pair that fits you nicely. There would be less bulk that way :)
And yes, I’m up for a redesign! Although the site is lovely as it is…

  20. I love your pictures!!
And the whole concept of your website!!
    Clean. Interesting.

  21. Love the double waist! Morgan Allen Oliver did it LFW, is that who you’re thinking of? If not, he’s marvellous! http://www.morganallenoliver.com/aw09/

  23. Really cool!!! I remember seeing jeans which have a double-waist but I don’t remember which designer it was.

  24. I never would have thought of it but it looks pretty awesome on you. Love the diaper comment, I bet it felt so odd!

  25. woah, cool idea++your bag is awesome

  26. hmm yea i think i saw there somewhere in LFW? it really can all blur together…. you pulled it off so well though! love your purse too

  27. Aww cool idea! Though I don’t think I am skinny enough around my waist to pull it off. hehe. I really love this layout, but a new one from you is exciting! :)

[Also, is it okay/would you like to exchange bloglinks? My style…more of korean music/style blog is http://lovestylefree.wordpress.com hehe I’m building up my blogroll and you’re one of my favorites so I am definitely linking you :P]

  28. I LOVE your trousers (I almost typed “pants” but then I remembered what my Pakistani roommate told me about what “pants” meant outside of America). Too bad there’s no Zara around here… The pleats are perfect!

But my question is – does it be comfortable? :)

    Kisses!

  32. double waisted has been around menswear for about 6 seasons now especially in milan (costume national, McQ, Romeo Gigli)
It’s interesting that you’ve brought it up.
Maybe we’ll start seeing it in womens aswell.
    Nice work.

  33. Double-waisted is looking really awesome on you! :)

By the way, I always love the way you design your blog. So whatever it is, it’s much appreciated! :D

  35. Lovely outfit that seems so confortable, well done!

  36. Of course we wont mind Shini! I’ve really loved the last two incarnations of your blog’s design concept. (identity?) And I’ve never had any major usability problems with them either. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

I also periodically do some tweaking to my blog. I hear ya! TTYLataz

  40. I love your bag and the double waist looks awesome :) x

  41. I like the idea of double-waisted, sewn into one garment to reduce bulkiness.

  42. hah! diapers. i can imagine how that would feel like, tying to wear layers over layers on sub-zero days.. BUT u make it chic and prep..too adorable!
