I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Inspired by nature, all pieces are eco-embracing with the use of natural dyes and organic fabric.

Seoul Fashion Week AW10 26/03 – 01/04

I’m being chased by another deadline and slept 6h in the past 50 hours so please forgive me, I’ve dug out photos from all the way back in March during Seoul Fashion Week. I’d wanted write about this for a long time and now that I’ve got this opportunity I don’t really remember how it felt to sit there. I’ll let the photos do most of the talking. The designer’s website doesn’t offer much more than that he takes inspiration from nature, but what I really sensed in the collection was a very folky Korean  traveler look –  ragged and disheveled, walking through a foggy forest, Samsonite strapped on donkey…

  1. I wholeheartedly forgive you, considering the fact that these pictures are fantastic. That first one is like a dream. I love it when fashion designers don’t take for granted that consumers have brains and give us options (such as with the coat with all of the strings). As a relatively independent thinker, I like to wear clothes slightly customized; and things that can be tied and retied and tucked in or wrapped around or whatever are amazing.

This collection looks wonderful. I admire women who wear loose fitting clothes without looking sloppy.

  5. I think it’s been awhile since I’ve frequented your blog, because the whole layout is different to me! I really like it. Usually I’m a stubborn mule when it comes to change, but your new design is clean and very easy to read. The new horizontal look definitely was BAM with that first runway picture in this post. GORGEOUS.

I really like your description of “folky Korean traveler look.” The whole style is very raw-edged with a certain elegance, very traditional yet new. :)

  6. Love this collection. The accessories are great. Hope you manage to make your deadline.

  16. Love the grainyness of the photos, fab folky-style collection. Donkey? Are there such animals exist in Korea? I’ve never seen any when I was there except ponies?! LOL

Oh sorry for keeping you awake on Skype, I played the part too :S

  17. You have the tutorials for the customising , but you seriously need to do tutorials for your photogrpahy, you would have a following,. The girl from clothes whispere made a book, and some of the students at GFW had such professional portfolios they could have been books that could be sold. you could easily print your pics, alonsgside some advice, and i’m sure it would be a bestseller.xx

  18. these are such beautiful pieces. very evocative!

  30. I love the redesign of your blog. Your images are always so great we should see them as big as possible. Everytime I see your caption design too I’m put to shame that I don’t even have captions! I’ve been meaning to ask you about seoul fashion week. Come to NY lady and come eat with me!

  31. So what Shini? Are you going to visit Poland this summer? however you need to be careful because we have bad luck lately here: plane catastrophe, flash flood, extremaly heat, plague of moscquitos… What else, dear Lord ?!
But come, they opened MUJI in Warsaw :)

  32. I love these clothes and the look, but I can’t bear to look at layered clothes right now in summer haha! I just have to say that first picture is fantastic. You should sell it as a print, I’d buy!

    Hope you’re well!
