I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a changeā€”a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

1/
Make sure your hair is completely dry. Spritz your hair all over with heat-protection spray and prepare your hair curler.
2/
Apply a generous amount of mousse to your hair and tousle it evenly through.

3/
Using a teasing comb (or anything similarly pointy – chopsticks?), section your hair and clip to the side.
4/
Start with the inner hair and work outwards by re-clipping sections – hold the curler in place for about 10 seconds and release.

5/
Run your fingers through your hair to loosen up the curls for a more natural effect.
6/
Grab a small section of hair from the side and start braiding, repeat with the other side.

7/
Place the headband – it can either sit an inch into your hair line, or across your forehead.
8/
Weave the braided strand through the headband, and pin at the back to secure.

Tie your hair tight, pin down any loose strands if going for the neat bun.

Partition the ponytail into three bunches, and starting from root out, back-comb using a fine-tooth teasing comb.

Hair accessories – Forever21, Nautical cropped sweater – Forever21, white embroidered crop-top – Forever21

So tackle the hard-drive I did, with a pickaxe and a can of WD40, a determined furrow between my brows and toilet plunger at close reach. The sun was on full blaze this weekend as if to mock my task, sorting through what amounted to be 32,000 photos from the last few months. I spend the whole Saturday with my laptop, chasing a triangle of sun that streamed through the curtains. Eventually I came to a full stop as I reached this little gem I’d somehow forgotten about: a heavenly weekend at the Jamie Oliver food festival (The Big feastival) in late August of last year. It left me desperately craving summer – blue skies, a gentle sun, live music and fresh-cooked food under a tent… I had a Forever21 gift-card in my desk drawer, and seeing as how I am now working with an 8-month backlog anyway, decided to go stock up on some hair accessories and share my go-to festival hair for the coming season. I know it my still be a little early, but hey – doesn’t hurt to dream, right?

Hope you all had a wonderful sunny weekend!
