I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Just wanted to quickly thank Amber Sakai and HPR London for arranging Kit, Matthew, Jen and moi a taxi to whizz around during LFW, would’ve been in crutches and high on morphine if not for those wheels!

Right now I’m 1) medium-rare-ing on a white beach in Greece, 2) breaking world-record breathing under water looking for my suspiciously heavy bikini top, or 3) dancing around the laptop with a berry-painted face and straw dress hoping for magical wi-fi. This is indeed a scheduled post, written high above the clouds headed for a much-needed holiday. Thought it’d be rather appropriate to share Mark Fast’s beachtastic SS12. Giles brought couture, Topshop Unique brought urban/street, Fast brings resort – LFW has it all. Except blogger appreciation.

London Fashion Week, SS12;

Here’s 15 shots from the streets during LFW – Am I displaying exemplar editorial skills by condensing hundreds and hundreds of shots from the five days of LFW into a neat 15? If you’d like to think like so I won’t stop you, shucks, with that rate I might as well have solved world hunger and written a book on DIY Feed the World with sachet of condensed milk attached as gift.

If you feel like I’m talking too much feel free to shove a virtual sock in my mouth, unfortunately this is the only way to avoid you having to read about LFW on Christmas eve. Goodness knows what kind of excuses I’ll come up with then, the usual my-dog-ate-my-keyboard kind of spiel I guess. And I just realised how obsessed I seem to be with the silver clutch! Well, in truth it’s the only thing big enough to accommodate the pieces of cardboard I slipped between the few tickets just to look like I have a grand purpose during the week. Dash off with a powerwalk/jog muttering sorry I’m running late for the next show… a show of balancing a box of Krispy Kreme x Glamour doughnuts on my nose behind Somerset House before an impatient tourist audience shouts ‘SIMON SAYS, JUST EAT THE DAMN DOUGHNUTS WOMAN’. I’m sure I sent you all tickets for that, no?

Thank you Jen for helping me with the photos!

Edit: the red tartan piece is just a shirt from Motel Rocks buttoned up to the top and tied around the waist flat

How did these doughnuts magically get into my bag? is probably the only use of ‘magical’ I’d use in a LFW context, we seem to be more content with nouns like edgy, unorthodox, and sometimes even what-the-wow in London, but you must agree Paris couture unofficially owns ‘magical’. Giles sent out a fringed silver mask invitation in an A3 envelope, which made the official mirror of the day and gave the Somerset House restrooms a breather, but what a tease! I’d expected something along the lines of a Venetian carnival, but the first white swan headpiece floated out on a space-age soundtrack and we all did a Mexican wave of gasps. Swiss laser cutting, featherworks, metallic fringing, and of course the Royal Courts of Justice venue… Je voudrais borrow ‘magical’ s’il vous plait!
