I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Coat – Anywho x Brics. Leather trousers – Hoss Intropia. Sneakers – New Balance 574. Bangle- Swarovski ‘Interval’. Rings – ASOS. Bag – Couronne. Cashmere sweater – Boden. Scarf – Acne Canada scarf

Just a quickie before I head out for a day of chores, or as I’d like to say, excuse to drink five hazelnut lattes and stumble home feeling like a cow/squirrel by the end of the day. I’m hoping to finish my Christmas shopping this week so that I’m not forever remembered as that girl that keeps getting into rumbles with desperate middle-aged men in aisle 5 for the last tree-shaped candle. Although, I do usually look forward to February 13th because that rumble is usually for the last heart-shaped chocolate with desperate 20-somethings and seeing how I’m married that’s the most action I get in months. Oh I’m kidding. Sob.

Also, do check out a wee guest post I did for Wink, a blog by Nathalie Colin, the Creative Director of Swarovski, on matching jewellery with belt. Here’s a preview…:

oh.. I’m impressed ! I haven’t even started with my Christmas shopping … will have to join that those desperate middle-aged men in aisle 5 – again.

also – how did you get that beautiful ‘wavy long bob’ look? I just cut my hair short(ish) as well and keep trying different products to make it more wavy and add some texture but haven’t succeeded much yet … would be super grateful for a little advice!

    Thank you!

    Zu. x

  3. Ooh in that case I’ll come by with some popcorn to watch! It’s well fun, I always found.

As for hair, thank you! I actually got it permed (digital perm) when I got mine cut, so it’s been wavy like this since then, but I lose a bit I just use a curler! I’m not much a hair guru though ;)

  4. Zu

I’m (definitely) not a hair guru myself and actually deeply hate the idea of spending more than 5 min on my hair so the perm sounds just perfect… clever solution for a lazy bum like me (why can’t one just wake up and look gorgeous? like every day?)

Do you have one hairdresser you usually go to ? Or are you an adventurous type and try a different one every time? :)

ooh yes, you should join for sure – there is a lot of that evil eye thing going on.. and some fighting over things like that last book you thought would be a perfect present for your dad (maybe it’s just me – but dads are the worst to buy presents for… another pair of socks ? or a tie he’s never gonna wear?)

  5. Oh my goodness me too, I didn’t know the significance of dry shampoo until about yesterday. The perm is good though, these days I go to sleep with semi wet hair and find that my pillow does pretty good styling overnight. I know it’s meant to be bad for you or whatever but I have a silk pillowcase (totes cheap, considering) so I like to believe it’s all fine. It’s great cuz you wake up with quite a strong, yet natural curl!

I do go to one place, only because digital perm isn’t yet popular in the West and this Korean place in Warren St does it really well – this place here!

As for gifts for dad – I had SO MUCH trouble finding something this year too, and the gift guides are usually quite useless – toys toys toys gadgets… my father doesn’t even know how to turn the computer on, let alone fiddle with some handsfree, cord-free speaker :S We did opt for things that might make for a merry time-making though, like a box-set of Die Hard! Sometimes it’s so easy it’s so difficult…

  6. It’s not even december and you’re almost done with the christmas presents? Well done!

I had the same intentions this year, to have all my Christmas shopping done by the end of November- first week of December but it seems impossible to follow the plans now… I might end up doing urgent shopping with the mad masses and large queues. :(

Me too, I intend to do all my Christmas shopping by the end of November, but I think that is not going to be possible as I just got half of them. I´ve been lazy this week.
