I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Frustratingly when it comes to ye old Asian shopping sites the experience can be described in one word, millefeuille. Very literally at that, as I peel back pages chock-full of frills, chiffon and generally cute ‘fluff’ like girly frocks and sequined cardigans… then something more ‘edgy’, shall we say, glistens in the corner and that’d be a successful session. Gosh golly, to think if I’d channel that kind of dedication elsewhere perhaps I’d have achieved something for mankind, like auto-dispensing cheese machine? I apologize, world, for my inadequate use of time. Anyhow, the needle-in-haystack hunt in YesStyle is thankfully a little less wearisome as they do seem to tailor to a slightly different audience, and boy does the stationery section tickles the 10 year old in me. Usually I tend to avoid basic pieces that I could get for much cheaper in the UK, but the styling (*cough*pretty model*cough*) of a particular mustard coloured knit-dress caught my eye, and that’s how I stumbled upon Miss Panda. Slouchy wine-coloured cable-knit sweater, slinky peach trench-coat, boyfriend blazers… all solid basics that I’ve been reserving space in the wardrobe for, in one shop! Safe to say I won’t be shopping for the next few months.

  2. Never would have I imagined the track sneaker an item worthy of the term “chic”, but, wow, that leather-on-maxi ensemble supply the perfect cohesion for them. Maybe it’s because she’s so flawlessly attractive, but this girl makes every simple thread look to be spun in gold.

Don’t feel guilty for time spent… I’m sure I’ll be digging to the same level of obsession you have. ;)

  3. ah… yes that does look reminiscent of your style 0: isn’t it summer over there though?

  4. Sad to say it seems summer still hasn’t arrived in the UK, 12 degrees and raining here today! I suspect we’ll have about a week of ‘summer’ and then back to cable knits and long-johns!

  5. Thank you for the share! Now I have so many new sites to gawk at!

  18. I do agree with you. With *ehem* pretty model wearing all those basic things altogether, you find everything is cute and beautiful, then you broke. SIGH!

  19. I have never shopped at Yesstyle before but I had visited the site maybe once. The clothing looks like a high end street style site and the great thing is that it is affordable. The stuff on the girls section looks great, esp the ones you have shown.

  20. Hi Shini! (=
This is the first time I’ve been on your blog and I am just starstruck by the simple, stylish and user-friendly web page layout. (I read that you code and made everything yourself? Impressive!) I’ve also been reading through your archives and am so inspired by your writing and how far you’ve come as a blogger and photographer. ♥ Haha, and I know the feeling of seeing something you really want on a pretty model and then can’t help but get it yourself!

  24. I am surprised that Yesstyle was featured on this blog. I always thought it was similar to a Top Shop. The exception being that there are predominately Asian designers! Which is great, the yellow trench coat is my favorite.

  25. Inexpensive and stylish things! I liked it!

  27. I like a bit of yesstyle when I am online shopping but boy, there is helluva lot of stock on there. It’s definitely a bit more of a challenge than ASOS when it comes to sifting through the stock. Will definitely have a look at Miss Panda…and yeah the pretty models really do help sway your opinion on things!

  28. I can never resist yellow – that coat has me completely smitten.

  33. I am not too fond of some of the outfit and shoe match-up. Generally, aside from canvas sneakers, I am not a fan of sporty shoes preferring boots and strappy sandals instead. But aside from the slight objection to some of the footwear I absolutely love the look on this beautiful girl.

  34. Whoever invents the auto-dispensing cheese machine will be my hero forever.

  35. love the colurs especially the black, white and green. the model is very cute:) lovely photos

I love YesStyle, but have the same hunting issues as you do, looking for the avant garde over the frou and flou. Hadn’t looked at Miss Panda before (but now I’ve ordered a chartreuse asymmetric zip pullover sweatshirt from them thanks to your rec!). I find Halumaybe and BBon-J to be quite reliable for more interesting shapes as well, and usually have good luck cutting through the ruffles and fluff by searching on key word “asymmetric.” Happy hunting.

  48. Excellent website. Lots of helpful info here.
I’m sending it to a few pals ans also sharing in delicious. And naturally, thanks to your effort!

Lovely clothes :D You should also try Lovemark on Yesstyle- they have simillar things; great basics but also some lovely extras. I ordered a jumper from there once and it was gorgeous- highly reccommended! Xxx

It also increases our expenses. These use incandescent bulbs for a
