I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Dior Nude ‘Beige Safari‘ Nail Polish, Rings, mummy’s old

One goopy nude-ish varnish that resembled melted baby-doll plastic and one messy bottle of are-you-sure-you-studied-art colour concoction later (red, pearly white, bit of brown… OK this is pearly poo), I’ve finally found the perfect shade and consistency in the Dior Beige Safari polish. It does make my hands look like Barbie fingers but I think it gives just the right amount of clean and classic like a pair of nude heels would. The consistency is just watery enough to glide on a few coats and finish with an Essie ‘Good to Go’ top coat (my preferred) and it feels like the day you got your braces off. (This may or may not mean I lick my fingers every ten minutes)

  1. I’m always for all natural and nude colors. Especially for minimalism.
I think 80% of my nailcolours are different shades of nude :D

p.s. I like your rings by the way! lovely!

  5. It’s lovely! I love nail art but sometimes you gotta take a break from it and be nude haha

  6. I am always amazed by your posts and photographs. You are such an inspiration, I am following you since quite a long time and your blog is still getting better and better. Thanks for that.

  7. Beautiful shade! Sometimes it’s nice to forget about colour and just go for the simple, effortless look (she says with her Aztec nail art).

  13. The perfect, versatile shade! I also love using Essie’s Good to Go as a topcoat- I sometimes use it on the bottom if I know I’m going to switch colors soon, because it just peels off easily, without me having to use nail polish remover! Love it.

  14. nude is always classy :)

  15. I’ve always been such a fan of nude polish – some may call it out for being uninspiring or bland, but I’ve always found it to be clean and elegant. Does wonders in elongating the hand and fingers. I’ve been on the prowl for a quality top coat, though, so I’m thankful for your recommendation. Definitely keeping a tab open on it.

  16. Aimy

ooh that’s a nice shade. also, lovely photographs. hang on … so you mixed all those colours together? wHAT 0: o u. I’m curious though; did it form a homogenous mixture?

ON A ANOTHER NOTE, teach me how to keep succulent plants alive. My cactus slowly withered away a few months after I bought it. I even made a fb account for it and it became friends with my friends and … oh it was so sad.

  17. Surprisingly I thought if I did the colours right it’d actually be applicable! If it’s too goopy you’d just need to add a drop of acetate or two and really shake hard and it makes it quite runny… so no, it wasn’t spaghetti carbonara when mixed. I think a lot of people actually do make new nail polish colours at home that way!

Regarding le other note – cacti, I dunno I’m on trial too, bought them last week! What I do know though is when I was 13 we bought a small cactus and the last time I was home I saw how much it’d grown. And I watered it about every 1.5 weeks (poor cactus) so yes, there is hope! Can I be friends with your cactus on FB though?

  19. I have yet to find the perfect nude color for my nails, and this one looks lovely! I’ve never tried the Dior polishes, but a nude shade is essential (in my opinion) in a nail polish collection. It does look very clean and polished! I’m going to check it out next time I’m at the beauty counter.

    @Shini,
    I AM SO READY!

Since I am on the seduction topic, I normally read your blog on my google reader and come on the actual site only to leave comments and I have to say every time I see your layout it gives me hope for mankind and the interwebs (which is basically the same thing, right?)

  27. When the system eats, I’m the one pooping it out so I got it, seduction and all. Mankind is the interwebz indeed but hold your horses I’m about to invent automatic cheese dispensing machine so this world is about to get even better if that’s even possible.

  32. Lovely color!

    xx.

  33. I love nude nail varnishes. It like wearing a casual outfit. Effortless.

  34. I am much more of a colour girl, preferring a good coral or red nail varnish BUT I think that nude looks great on you: a good shade for your skin tone, plus the simplicity of the colour looks awesome with those rings. Not sure I’m brave enough to have a give up my colour though!

  35. i really love nude tints, and this is the most beautiful i’ve ever seen!
